The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage Features a Fresh Look and Improved Performance

Are you looking for a reliable vehicle that does its job well? If so, you might be interested to know that that's how Don Swearingen, executive vice president of Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA), describes the Mitsubishi Mirage: "Mirage owners are looking for a vehicle that does its job well and is reliable." And with the latest revelations as to what we can expect from the 2017 Mirage, we're very excited about this little car at MotorWorld | MileOne Autogroup. Let's take a closer look at it together.

The 2017 Mirage's updates begin on the outside, with changes to its hood, grille, front and rear bumpers, fog lights, headlights, rear spoilers, and wheels. The new exterior design makes the vehicle more aerodynamic and reduces its weight, making the vehicle more fuel-efficient than ever. On the inside, the  2017 Mirage gets new seat fabrics, gague cluster, steering wheel, and a shift panel. Drivers also now have the option of a new, 300-watt audio system, the Rockford-Fosgate™ with EcoPunch™, as well as an in-car display audio system that supports Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

Under the hood, the new Mirage's 1.2-liter 3-cylinder DOHC engine gets three advantages out of the Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) variable valve-timing system. First, the MIVEC system maximizes the vehicle's fuel efficiency, always a plus. Secondly, the MIVEC system boosts power--the 2017 Mirage now offers 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft torque. Finally, the MIVEC system helps to reduce exhaust emissions.

In terms of safety, the 2017 Mirage has a wide vartiety of safety features and technologies, including a tire pressure monitoring system, anti-lock brakes, Brake Assist, Active Stability Control (ASC) with Traction Control Logic (TCL), and more. The new Mirage's brakes, both front and back, are thicker than ever before, and the brake pad and shoe material has been changed to further improve their braking abilities.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage won't be available at MotorWorld | MileOne Autogroup until Spring 2016, but in the meantime, feel free to check out our wide variety of new and used models. Call, contact us online, or stop by the dealership today, and we'll schedule a test drive for you.
