2017 Toyota Sienna

SCHEDULE TEST DRIVE

Overview

Minivans are a hard sell these days, but the 2017 Toyota Sienna proves they don’t have to be a penalty box. Its exterior and interior styling rebut the common stereotype of the boring family hauler, and there’s plenty of up-to-date tech to make managing a van-load of kids a little easier. With seating for up to eight, the Sienna also excels at its real mission: hauling passengers and gear.

The Sienna comes in configurations that seat seven or eight, with prices starting at $29,750.* With five available trim levels, there are plenty of options for building a Sienna to fit your budget. For 2017, the Sienna gets an upgraded V6 engine and new eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers even more power and performance.

The Perfect Ride for…

Drivers who need the spaciousness of a minivan but aren’t willing to give up their sense of style. The Sienna features a dynamic exterior design and a high-quality interior, and is the only minivan to offer available all-wheel drive. It all adds up to a dependable, family-friendly vehicle that you’ll be surprised to find you actually love to drive.

Drive & Handling

The motivation for this family hauler comes from an updated 3.5-liter V6 that now produces 296 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a new eight-speed automatic and either front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.

That’s plenty of power to move the generously proportioned Sienna, and despite this minivan’s considerable girth (4,415 pounds at its lightest) and relatively large engine displacement, it even delivers pretty good fuel economy to boot.

With front-wheel drive, the EPA rates the Sienna at 22 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway), or 20 mpg combined (18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway) with all-wheel drive.**

Key Features

Dual-View Blu-ray Disc™ Entertainment Center

Say goodbye to backseat drama. With the available Dual-View Blu-ray Disc™ Entertainment Center, passengers can enjoy their favorite movies and shows on a 16.4” color display. The system includes RCA jacks, two 120V AC power outlets, a remote, and wireless headphones. Can’t decide on what to watch? The screen can display a single wide-angle image or two images from separate sources at the same time.

7-inch touchscreen

The available high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen helps you take control of the Sienna’s exciting tech features. Listen to your favorite music, access integrated navigation, and explore the wide range of apps available in the Entune® App Suite.

Blind Spot Monitor

The available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) looks out for you and your family, illuminating a warning indicator on the side-view mirror when it detects a vehicle. Optional Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) provides a similar warning when backing out of your driveway or parking spot into approaching traffic.

Alternative Options

The updated 2017 Toyota Highlander offers an updated powertrain, new safety features, added trim levels, and refreshed styling. It’s also available as a hybrid if you’re seeking a greener family vehicle. Looking for a sportier crossover option? Test-drive the all-new 2018 Toyota C-HR ("Coupe High-Rider"), featuring a compact footprint and bold styling inspired by Toyota’s late Scion sub-brand. The base XLE model comes comfortably equipped with a long list of standard features, including advanced safety technology.
