What's New?

Changes for the 2018 year include updates to the vehicle's software, a revised user technology interface, and new pedal operation for the automatic parking assist.

Overview

Not only does the CT6 feature a beautiful exterior design, borrowing styling language from the popular ATS and CTS sedans, it also boasts remarkable handling and a treasure trove of technologies that make driving safer and more enjoyable.

As Cadillac’s range-topping sedan, even the base CT6 is well equipped. Standard features include LED headlights, Bluetooth®, a Bose® eight-speaker audio system, Cadillac’s infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8.0-inch gauge-cluster display screen, OnStar® 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and more.

In addition to these standard features, the CT6 Luxury trim level adds a variety of upgrades, including 10-speaker Bose® audio system, navigation, heated steering wheel, 16-way heated front bucket seats, and rear sunshades. The CT6 Premium Luxury builds further on that, with features like a head-up display (HUD), rear camera mirror, and UltraView panoramic power sunroof. The CT6 Platinum adds an Active Chassis Package with Magnetic Ride Control active suspension and rear-wheel steering as well as a Bose® Panaray 34-speaker sound system.

The Perfect Ride for…

Drivers who appreciate the idea of a spacious and upscale sedan with enough grit to give it character. Whether you use your CT6 as a family vehicle, or to simply make your regular morning jaunt across the city, the CT6 provides the comfort, luxury, and entertainment you crave to make your drive as enjoyable possible. The vehicle's understated yet refined interior makes it easy for you to access all of the many high-tech features, and there is more than enough space for long-legged adults in both the front and the back seats. Use the CT6 as a family car, a work commuter, or a weekend day-tripper—this vehicle is capable of wearing many hats.

Drive & Handling

The 2018 Cadillac CT6 gives buyers plenty of choices and is offered with no less than three powertrain options. None of them are quite what you might expect in a big Cadillac, showing just how much the brand has evolved.

The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. That may seem a little small, but this energetic engine produces a hefty 265 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes with rear-wheel drive. The 2018 CT6 with turbocharged four-cylinder engine gets an EPA-estimated 30 highway mpg and has a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.2 seconds.*

The mid-range engine for the CT6 is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 which produces 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque and is EPA-rated at 21 mpg combined (18 mpg city, 27 mpg highway).* Last but not least is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that's good for 404 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque and is EPA-rated at 21 mpg combined (18 mpg city, 26 mpg highway).* Both V6 engines come standard with all-wheel drive.

Key Features

Rear Seat Infotainment

Backseat drivers will be pleased to see that there is an option for rear seat entertainment. The available Rear Seat Infotainment system with Blu-ray™ and HDMI integration not only lets you experience your favorite videos, music, and photos wirelessly from your smart devices, but the 10-inch HD retractable screens tilt and remember your preferred angle.

Front Pedestrian Braking

Available as part of the Driver Awareness Package, the Front Pedestrian Braking technology uses a camera to scan the road ahead to detect pedestrians. If one is spotted, the system alerts the driver and applies the brakes to help avoid or reduce the severity of a collision if necessary.

Alternative Options

If a coupe is more your style, then opt for the 2018 ATS coupe, which is "all sport, nothing less" according to Cadillac. Its style and speed are a draw for those bent on optimal performance, and its strong, sporty exterior demands attention on the road. Those looking for a little more space should look into the 2018 XT5 crossover, which has a generously sized interior as well as all of the innovative tech and safety features that you crave, including pedestrian collision mitigation and Cadillac CUE®.
