2020 Honda CR-V
Overview
The Honda CR-V has been one of the automaker's most popular crossover vehicles for over 20 years and when you take into account the edgy styling, feature-packed trim levels, and overall value it is easy to see why. For 2020, Honda is shaking up the compact SUV market with its CR-V which—for the first time in the vehicle's history—is available with a new hybrid engine. On the exterior, the 2020 CR-V gets a few styling tweaks while the interior gets an updated control center, that is more spacious and offers more flexible storage solutions. Honda's driver assistance features like automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and pedestrian detection will be standard on all trim levels.
The Perfect Ride For...
Families that want to prioritize safety, convenience, and reliability without sacrificing value. Choose from four body styles (LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring). Opting for the EX trim offers buyers the modern features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, a sunroof, 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat, push-button start, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Each 2020 Honda CR-V trim is standard with front-wheel drive, but consumers can opt for all-wheel drive for premium off-road capability.
Drive and Handling
The 2020 Honda CR-V offers a comfortable ride, refined steering and enthusiastic braking that will make for pleasant commutes of any length. The standard engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces up to 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to a continuously variable transmission that offers smooth shifts and adequate acceleration. Brand new for 2020 is the Honda CR-V Hybrid that is rated by the automaker to get 50% better fuel economy than the gasoline-powered variant. The Hybrid generates 212 horsepower and combines a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine plus two electric motors. The CR-V Hybrid is the only trim level that comes standard with all-wheel drive.
Key Features
Honda Sensing
Now standard on every Honda CR-V is the brand's suite of safety features known as Honda Sensing. With the Collision Mitigation Braking System, the 2020 CR-V will automatically apply brake pressure when a collision is imminent and the driver may have yet to react. Honda's Adaptive Cruise Control enables the driver to set not only their speed but also the following distance behind detected vehicles. The CR-V is also standard with Traffic Sign Recognition that uses a small camera to notify the driver of posted speed limits so you'll never find yourself searching for the next sign again. With the available multi-angle rearview camera, you can choose from three different angles—normal, top-down, and wide—so that you can get a clear view of any obstacles in their way.
Power Tailgate
Whether your arms are full of children or groceries, with the available power tailgate you can swing your foot under the rear bumper of the 2020 Honda CR-V to open or close the door. Best of all, it is height adjustable.
Advanced Technology
Honda didn't build its reputation for being one of the most advanced car makers in the world without adding some of the best tech features in the industry to its models. The redesigned CR-V didn't get left out for 2020. Drivers will be pleased to find Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ for seamless integration with your smartphone. Access your favorite playlists, apps, contacts and more, without touching your phone. USB Audio Integration and Bluetooth® give you even more ways to stay connected and with the 330-watt 9-speaker sound system, you won't want to miss the way your favorite songs sound in the CR-V.
