Overview
Hyundai has been keeping the automotive market on its toes since the brand debuted in the United States, and the Hyundai Veloster shook up the popular hatch segment by offering endless options to please everyone from the casual commuter to the sports car enthusiast.
The Perfect Ride for...
The modern car lover. This hot hatch features the latest technology features, powerful efficiency, and stylish design that set it apart from the mundane vehicles flooding the streets from other automakers. This sport-inspired ride is sure to thrill, as it goes beyond a commuter car and electrifies your daily journeys.
Pick the Power of Your Poison
When you choose the 2020 Veloster 2.0 or Veloster 2.0 Premium, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers a satisfying 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via the standard 6-speed manual transmission. Opt for the automatic 6-speed transmission to make your daily drives even more relaxing.
For the spirited driver, Hyundai offers a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. In the Turbo R-Spec and Turbo Ultimate trims, that engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. A 7-speed EcoShift® Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) is standard for the Veloster Turbo and available on the Veloster Turbo Ultimate.
For the mildly insane, the Veloster N offers a whole new world of performance. The Theta II 2.0 T-GDI is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gas direct-injection four-cylinder engine that produces 250 horsepower with the Standard Package and up to 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque with the Performance Package. Packed into the lightweight frame of the Veloster, those numbers translate into some serious power.
Key Features
Precision Handling
To get all that power to the ground, Hyundai spent time fine-tuning the suspension for precision. Utilizing multi-link rear suspension gave Hyundai the ability to create a precise handling experience without sacrificing ride quality. Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS) increase confident driving, thanks to the vehicle's ability to adjust to a wide array of road conditions and driving situations.
Industry-Leading Tech
No modern hot hatch would be complete without innovative connectivity, infotainment, and comfort features. The Veloster is available with either a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen display that controls standard features like Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and the available Infinity® Premium Audio System with eight speakers. The available wireless charging pad, SiriusXM™ Satellite Radio, and HD Radio turn the Veloster into the ultimate car for commuting and road trips.
Alternative Options
If you’re looking for space over speed, the Hyundai Santa Fe is a full-size SUV with plenty of space and impeccable efficiency. Craving a more luxurious experience (without the price of a luxury brand)? The Hyundai Sonata offers the amenities of a high-end brand, but with the efficiency and reliability of a Hyundai.
