Overview
Sports cars aren’t exactly practical, but not everyone is satisfied with driving the average sedan. That’s where the 2021 Dodge Charger comes in. With more than enough power to keep you planted in your seat, this sedan is anything but run of the mill. Thanks to a sport-tuned suspension combined with practical space and four-door style, you still get amazing function from the Charger as a great daily driver without compromising performance.
The Perfect Ride for...
The boss. Whether you plan on dominating your task list or dominating the track, the Dodge Charger can help you get from point A to point B as easily as from the burnout box to the finish line. Tech-loaded and spacious enough for the family and performance-oriented enough to take on the competition on a track day, this car is ready to help you win it all.
Drive & Handling
The 2021 Dodge Charger has five engine options, ranging from the pretty-quick V6 to the new fiercely-supercharged SRT Hellcat Redeye V8. The standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine reaches up to 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque, making it just quick enough to keep things interesting. Moving up, the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 is a legend for a reason. With 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque, this engine can really lay down some rubber.
For those with an itch for performance, the 392 HEMI® V8 churns up to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, giving it a 0-60 mph time in the low 4-second range. The fierce supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® SRT Hellcat V8 is not for the timid either. At 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, this beast is perfect for melting faces on a track day. New for 2021, the SRT Hellcat Redeye features the engine from the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8. With up to 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque, this remarkable engine is exactly what you need if endless power is your biggest request. No matter which engine you opt for, an 8-speed automatic will ensure you always have the perfect gearing to maximize your power.
If you want muscle, but you also need all-wheel-drive, the 2021 Dodge Charger is a game-changer. Of course, rear-wheel drive is standard, but if you need the additional grip—especially in snow or mud—then the all-wheel-drive version of this four-door beast has what you need. Precise steering is also available via the selectable steering modes. These three settings allow you to customize the steering feedback to your unique driving style.
Depending on which model you choose, suspension performance ranges from comfortable to track-day ready. With the Charger GT and R/T, you get a suspension upgrade that enhances handling thanks to Blistein® shock absorbers. The lower ride height on these models also optimizes the center of gravity. For the SRT® Hellcat edition, Three-Mode Active Damping means you get to choose exactly how your suspension reacts to the road.
Key Features
Technology
All that Dodge power is backed up by powerful Dodge technology. Thanks to the available Uconnect® 4C NAV, you can stay connected, no matter where the road takes you. The 8.4-inch touch screen gives you access to Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, SiriusXM® All Access Package, Navigation, and Bluetooth®. Whether you want to jam out to your favorite playlist, or need a little help when you get lost, Dodge has you covered. With the available SiriusXM Travel Link, you have even more connectivity, including real-time information like current gas prices, weather, sports, and movie information so you never miss a moment of action.
Safety
Whether you’re at the race track or on the road, safety is incredibly important, and that’s why Dodge has developed some remarkable safety features to protect you and your passengers. Parallel parking is simplified with the standard Parksense® Rear Park Assist System and standard Parkview® Rear Back-Up Camera. The available Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist keep you and your passengers safe, no matter where your Dodge takes you.
In addition to driver assistance technology, Dodge has also equipped the 2021 Charger with All-Speed Traction Control to keep all four wheels planted when you’re pushing the limits. Electronic Stability Control prevents understeer and oversteer through turns, always keeping you on the right path.
