Honda brings some changes to the 2023 Honda CR-V with a wider stance and longer wheelbase, as well as an updated exterior design. Drive and Handling
The 2023 CR-V comes in four trims, with the EX and EX-L offering 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque and the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid delivering 145 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The EX trims feature a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and the hybrid vehicles are equipped with an electronic continuously variable transmission (E-CVT) with B-range shift and deceleration selectors.
The EX trims are direct fuel injected, while the hybrid trims are multi-stage, high-pressure direct injection. Three trims offer the Honda Eco Assist System to improve mileage, and the Sport Touring Hybrid has an upgraded predictive Eco Assist System. Vehicles also provide hill descent control, hill start assist, remote entry, and remote start with climate control. All models come with all-wheel drive standard or as an option.
EPA mileage ratings vary based on whether a driver selects the gas-only or the hybrid motor. The gas motor is EPA rated for 28/34/30, and drivers who choose the AWD option have EPA-rated mileage of 27/32/29. The hybrid engine has an EPA mileage rating of 43/36/40, and the AWD hybrid trims have an EPA mileage rating of 40/34/37. All vehicles are equipped with a 14-gallon fuel tank and take regular unleaded fuel.
