'Buckle Up For Life' Partners With The Bump to Keep Kids Safe

In honor of National Child Passenger Safety Week (September 17-23, 2017), "Buckle Up for Life," the national car seat safety program from Cincinnati Children’s and Toyota, has teamed up with The Bump online baby registry to give free car seats to needy families this month. MotorWorld | MileOne Autogroup has more details on this partnership for you here.
How The Bump and Buckle Up for Life are helping
Until the end of this September, Buckle Up for Life will be donating a car seat to a needy family (up to 5,000 seats) for every baby registry created on The Bump website or mobile app. Almost as importantly, everyone that receives one of the free seats will also receive information on how to install it properly. It may surprise you to learn, but a staggering three out of four car seats are incorrectly installed—a terrible statistic as motor vehicle crashes are one of the leading causes of death among children.
Committed to keeping all passengers safe, especially the smallest ones
As Mike Goss, general manager, Toyota Social Innovation, says:
We want to help make sure that all families have the resources and education they need to help keep their children safe on the road. That’s why we are so proud to work with The Bump. Throughout this month, The Bump’s incredible community will be able to amplify their gift-giving and the impact of welcoming and protecting newborns.
We couldn't agree more with Mr. Goss and are so glad to represent a brand as committed to keeping people safe as Toyota.
Of course, one of the best ways to supplement a car seat is to ensure the car it's placed in is a safe one. That's why we're proud to sell Toyota models, which consistently earn excellent safety scores from both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
