A Game-Changing Collaboration

Stellantis, a global automotive leader, and Samsung, a renowned technology conglomerate, have united their strengths to construct a second StarPlus Energy factory in the United States. Anticipated to begin production in 2027, this cutting-edge facility will focus on manufacturing advanced electric vehicle (EV) batteries with an initial annual production capacity of 34 gigawatt hours (GWh).

This endeavor aims to improve battery efficiency, extend vehicle range, and reduce production costs, making EVs more accessible to consumers.

The combined expertise of these two industry giants signals a significant move towards the transformation of the automotive and energy sectors. Stellantis has a goal of being a carbon net zero corporation by 2038. The upcoming StarPlus Energy factory reflects the commitment to innovation, bringing us one step closer to a more eco-friendly and sustainable future.
